When I began brainstorming what our fall styled shoot would be I pictured the gooey soft lights you get in the late afternoon during the fall season. It would include a small and intimate ceremony space- picture a new marriage being surrounded by those who love you most. We would have dark and moody florals. But most important, it would feature a real couple. I really wanted this shoot to show emotion and the best way to do that is to shoot a really life couple in love. Boy, did we get love and emotion!
We sent out a casting call for real life couples asking if they wanted to take part in our shoot. We poured through over 30 applications before finding Devin and Allie. They love each other and are beautiful so we knew it would work perfectly. Shortly after Devin’s last fitting at L’Hexagone, Devin and Allie asked for one small thing. At the end of our shoot, they wanted to get married. For real!!!
Of course I couldn’t say no to the opportunity, I have always wanted to plan a surprise wedding- it was actually a bucket list item of mine.
